Introduction to IAPUC Membership Tier System

I.Membership Tiers

1.Associate Member

Definition: This membership tier is positioned for rising educational innovators and observer-learners, forming the alliance's strategic preparatory pool. It caters to private institutions with ambitions to connect globally, which are undergoing dynamic growth or transformation. The tier is ideal for those who have exhibited robust potential, formally applied, and desire initial engagement with the alliance's ecosystem to assess the value of long-term commitment.

Application Criteria: Privately-owned institutions that are duly registered with the Ministry of Education and appropriate regulatory bodies in their respective countries.

Core Value: It aims to provide institutions with a "trial period" and an "observation window," enabling them to familiarize themselves with the alliance's operational model and culture at a lower cost, while beginning to establish initial international connections.

The member shall be entitled to:

Attend the annual IAPUC conference, which counts as one performance indicator.

Receive complimentary access to two online courses.

Receive two complimentary publication opportunities.

Obtain complimentary assistance for U.S. academic systems.

Use the alliance's logo system for promotional activities, subject to prior authorization.

Advancement Condition:

The member shall become eligible to apply for Formal Membership after a period of one year. Admission shall be selective and based on a qualitative assessment of the candidate pool.

 Dues Schedule:

Developed Countries                US $1200/Year

Developing Countries              US $800/Year

Least Developed Countries    US $300/Year

2.Standard Member

 Definition: This membership grade is designated as the core pillar and the heart of the consortium's community, composed of private institutions possessing stable educational quality and a measurable international reputation. Formal Membership is conferred upon qualified Associate Members who successfully apply and whose institutional standards are fully recognized and ratified by the consortium. These members shall be entitled to the complete suite of fundamental rights and shall be bound to fulfill the concomitant obligations as full-status members.

 Application Criteria: Associate Members shall be eligible to apply for Formal Membership. A comprehensive compliance review shall be conducted by the alliance over a twelve-month period to affirm the applicant's adherence to required standards. The institution shall demonstrate a sound governance structure, qualified faculty, a standardized curriculum, and satisfactory operational standing. Furthermore, it shall meet the following academic criteria: a student-to-faculty ratio not exceeding 20:1, legally recognized degree-granting authority, and a net Ph.D. ratio greater than 15%.

 Core Value: It signifies that the institution has received the formal endorsement of the alliance and has gained access to a platform for deep collaboration, resource sharing, and mutual advancement. Members are committed to actively contributing to enhance the collective value of both the alliance and their own institution.

 Member Rights and Privileges:

The member shall be conferred with voting rights and the right to participate in all alliance committees, contributing to strategic governance.

The member shall be granted full and complimentary access to the entire suite of online courses.

The member may be competitively selected to serve on the expert panel for paper review.

The member shall be entitled to one annual academic profile feature on the alliance homepage, supported by a global promotional campaign

The alliance shall provide facilitation support for the member to establish comprehensive collaboration with five designated institutions within the network, encompassing student exchange, research collaboration, faculty development, and doctoral training.

 Member Obligations:

The member shall be required to publish a total of fifty  academic papers.

The member shall be required to submit at least one application to host an academic conference or the annual meeting.

3.Certified Member

  Definition: This membership grade is reserved for the world's most distinguished institutions, achieving preeminence in at least one domain and having satisfied the alliance's exacting certification. Certified Membership is the supreme accolade granted by the alliance, representing the paramount standard and model of perfection in private education.

 Application Criteria: Formal Members shall be eligible to apply for Certified Membership at any time. Such applications shall require a successful outcome from an advanced certification assessment conducted by the Alliance Review Board. This assessment shall be grounded in demonstrable institutional outcomes and impact, constituting a process that substantially surpasses foundational compliance reviews. The core evaluation criteria shall emphasize: Excellence in educational practices and outcomes; Unique Contributions to the field; Demonstrable Leadership within the industry.

 Core Value: It represents the highest honor and an unequivocal hallmark of quality within the alliance. Certified Members are the alliance's standard-bearers, who collectively shape and lead the future of global private education, enjoying the resultant worldwide reputation and access to premier resources.

 Member Rights and Privileges:

The right to apply annually to host one academic conference.

The right to unlimited academic paper publication.

The eligibility to serve as the Rotating Chair Unit.

Full and complimentary access to the entire online course catalog each year.

The eligibility for appointment to the position of Associate Editor or higher in affiliated journal systems.

Inclusion in the Alliance Expert Review Pool.

One annual institutional profile feature on the alliance homepage, accompanied by a global promotional campaign.

 The Alliance shall provide the following support services:

Facilitated assistance for academic exchange and cooperation with other member institutions, encompassing student exchanges, research collaboration, faculty development, and doctoral training..
