1. Scope and Governing Framework

This Copyright Statement governs all intellectual property disclosure, authorized usage scope, rights restriction and liability disclaimer rules applicable to the official website, subdomains, digital platforms, official documents and published resources of the International Association of Private Universities and Colleges (“IAPUC”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This Statement complies with global copyright protection rules, international intellectual property conventions, and applicable laws of jurisdictions where IAPUC operates, including United States copyright regulations and relevant international open-source and commercial licensing specifications.

The provisions herein apply uniformly to all visitors, users, institutional members, certification applicants and all third parties that access, browse, quote or use IAPUC platform resources and official contents.

2. Clear Division of Intellectual Property Ownership

2.1 IAPUC Independent Original Content
All independently compiled, edited, formulated and officially released contents of IAPUC are the exclusive copyrighted assets of IAPUC, including but not limited to: all institutional policy documents (privacy policy, cookie policy, refund policy, terms of use, etc.), IQA certification systems, evaluation standards, academic guidelines, management specifications, official texts, self-compiled research reports, institutional introduction contents, official news releases, independently designed brand logos, graphic identification systems, and all derivative academic and institutional documents generated by IAPUC’s independent research and sorting. No third party shall claim any ownership right over the above original contents.

2.2 Third-Party Licensed Resources (Risk Avoidance Clause)
Partial page templates, website interface frameworks, functional components and plug-in programs deployed on the IAPUC official website are legally purchased and obtained through formal commercial licensing channels from qualified third-party suppliers. All such third-party resources are used strictly within the valid commercial authorization scope and licensing terms agreed by the original copyright owner.

The intellectual property rights, copyright ownership, modification rights and derivative rights of all third-party templates, frameworks and functional plug-ins exclusively belong to the original licensor. IAPUC obtains only limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable usage rights during the licensing validity period. IAPUC does not own, claim or acquire any copyright ownership, exclusive right or derivative development right of the above third-party licensed resources, and shall not bear any intellectual property infringement liability arising from the original development and authorization of third-party resources.

2.3 Open-Source Resources Disclaimer
Individual functional modules of the website may adopt standardized open-source programs compliant with official open-source licensing agreements. All open-source resources are used in strict accordance with the corresponding open-source license terms. IAPUC does not falsely claim independent copyright of open-source contents, and all open-source rights and obligations are subject to the official open-source agreement specifications.

3. Authorized Usage Scope of Platform Contents

Except for explicitly authorized scenarios, all platform contents are protected by copyright. Users and institutions are granted limited, non-commercial, personal viewing and internal reference rights only. The specific authorized scope is defined as follows:

(1)Non-commercial browsing, reading and individual academic research reference;

(2)Internal non-profit document learning and institutional compliance reference for member institutions;

(3)Official quotation and citation with complete, standardized and accurate source attribution of IAPUC.

No individual or institution may expand the usage scope beyond the above authorization without prior written approval from IAPUC.

4. Strictly Prohibited Infringing Acts

Any of the following behaviors without the prior written authorization of IAPUC constitutes an intentional copyright infringement, and the infringer shall bear all corresponding legal liabilities:

(1)Copying, crawling, capturing, mirroring, caching or batch downloading IAPUC original copyrighted contents in full or in part for commercial use or public re-dissemination;

(2)Modifying, adapting, translating, disassembling, reverse engineering or creating derivative works based on IAPUC’s original policies, standards, systems and documents;

(3)Counterfeiting, imitating or forging IAPUC official documents, certification standards and brand identification systems for improper gain;

(4)Removing, modifying or covering official copyright marks, source attributions and proprietary identification information of IAPUC contents;

(5)Misappropriating IAPUC intellectual property resources to conduct illegal business operations, false publicity and unauthorized certification services.

5. No Implied License & Rights Reservation

No content displayed on the IAPUC official website and official documents shall be interpreted as granting any implied license, tacit authorization, trademark right, intellectual property usage right or commercial cooperation right to any third party. All rights not explicitly and formally authorized in writing by IAPUC are fully and strictly reserved.

The limited usage authorization granted to users does not include any right of commercial licensing, sub-licensing, transfer, sale or commercial derivative development.

6. Infringement Liability & Remedy Mechanism

Any unauthorized infringement of IAPUC’s independent copyright and intellectual property rights shall result in immediate termination of the user’s platform usage qualification and institutional service eligibility. IAPUC reserves the right to issue official infringement notifications, publicly record bad faith behaviors, and pursue full legal liabilities including but not limited to civil compensation, administrative complaints and judicial remedies in accordance with applicable laws.

IAPUC shall not be liable for any intellectual property disputes arising from third-party licensed templates, plug-ins and open-source resources, which shall be resolved by the original copyright owner and relevant authorization subjects.

7. Statement on Content Validity and External Links

IAPUC strictly guarantees the originality, legality and standardization of all independently produced official contents. The platform may contain third-party website links and embedded cooperative resources for user convenience. All linked third-party platforms are independently operated, and IAPUC does not assume joint liability for the copyright legitimacy, content authenticity and compliance of external linked resources.

8. Policy Revision and Interpretation Right

IAPUC reserves the exclusive right to revise, update, supplement and interpret this Copyright Statement in accordance with service development, technical iteration and legal requirement updates. Revised clauses will take effect upon official website release. Continued use of IAPUC platform resources after the update constitutes full acceptance of the latest Statement.
