All eligible private higher education entities worldwide, including private universities, vocational tertiary institutions, tertiary training institutions and tertiary online education service platforms, are welcome to submit applications for IAPUC founding membership.
To qualify for institutional membership, applicants must comply with the applicable IAPUC Membership Eligibility Criteria and commit to strengthening their internal quality assurance systems. Eligible Full Members may subsequently apply for IAPUC-IQA accreditation.
Core Application Requirements
- Institutional Qualification: The applicant shall be legally registered and operating in compliance with the laws of its home country or jurisdiction. Applicants seeking Full Membership shall also hold the relevant authorization to provide higher or vocational education and possess lawful degree-awarding authority or an equivalent qualification.
- Quality Assurance Commitment: Applicants shall demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance. Full Members seeking IAPUC-IQA accreditation shall establish and maintain internal quality assurance mechanisms consistent with IAPUC-IQA standards and undergo the applicable IQA assessment and review procedures.
- Programme Compliance: All degree, vocational, and online learning programs offered by the institution shall align with the applicable national or regional qualifications framework, including the EQF, RQF, or SCQF where relevant, and with IAPUC-IQA quality standards.
- Cooperation Obligations: Member institutions are required to participate in cross-institutional academic exchange, joint research projects and standard-setting working groups organised by IAPUC, and share quality assurance practices and outcomes with the global private higher education alliance.
Application Process Overview
- Complete the official founding membership application form released by IAPUC and submit supporting institutional qualification documents.
- Undergo preliminary document review by the Membership Eligibility Review Committee.
- Pass an institutional eligibility interview and institutional verification conducted online, on site, or in a hybrid format.
- Upon successful review, sign the IAPUC Institutional Membership Agreement and complete membership fee payment to obtain official founding member institution status.
